COVID-19 Notice - Various policies have been established to ensure adherence to CDC social distancing guidelines. Classroom use, spectator viewing on the gun and archery ranges, and gatherings of more than ten people will not be permitted at this time. Statement of Function
Indian River County operates a complete public shooting range under a concession lease with the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission. The Shooting Range is constructed on State owned land and developed by Indian River County through funds made available from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The range is structured to provide a safe, supervised facility for the patrons of the Treasure Coast. The facility is recreational in nature but also provides for the training of Law Enforcement Agencies in the area.

The facility consists of a 5-stand (shotgun) range, a pistol range consisting of 35 firing stations, a rifle range with 29 stations including two 200-yard target firing stations, an air gun range, a 65-yard archery range, 3 combination skeet and trap fields and a walk-through sporting clays and a walk-through archery course. The facility is fully manned to insure maximum shooting safety. In addition to the recreational aspects of the range, it is also a hunter’s education training facility with courses taught by the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Shooting Range staff.

Hours of Operation

9:00am - 5:00pm Thursday through Monday
Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.


No Children under 10 allowed on ranges.

End of day cutoff times for ranges:
3:00pm - Sporting Clays
3:30pm - Skeet, Trap & 5-Stand
3:45pm - New registrations
4:00pm - Cash register closes
4:45pm - Last shot fired for the day

Take a Kid Fishing
If members of your family or party would prefer to undertake other activities, the shooting range has a lake that has been stocked for those who would enjoy taking a child fishing. Only adults with children are allowed to fish! Loaner fishing rods are available for the kids.
